Re: Breast Augmentation

I had a breast augmentation a couple of years ago after thinking about it for a few years. I had breastfed my two boys and I hated how my breasts ended up. Deflated and sorry for themselves. I am a very fit and active person and all the workouts in the world aren’t going to help with loss of volume ...

Re: New Cycling Studio in Tooting

Are you planning to offer classes via ClassPass also? I use this system for classes I currently take at Doghouse and The Train Station gym and It works out as better value for me that way. It does seem like a lot of gyms and cycle studios offer class pass so wondered if this was on your radar.

Re: Canada goose or Woolrich

Neither. Unless you support animal suffering. Did you know that the coyote fur trim used for Canada Goose jackets is obtained through ‘trapping’ coyotes in steel leg traps? It’s a very cruel and indiscriminate way of hunting animals (not that any way is humane) and often the coyotes (or other random...

Re: Animal friendly venue hire

Please think carefully before having a party with animals. If it’s anything like a Mr Marvel offering, those poor rabbits spend several hours in a tiny wooden box in all weathers (including freezing winters and boiling summers) travelling to a venue and remain in it for set up until it’s time to com...

Re: Woman suffers six puncture wounds as she is mauled by fox while sleeping in bed at her London home

Observation:- many medicines we rely upon to keep us alive were tested on animals. At a terrible pain to the animals. Observation:- being slaughtered is a terrible process, no matter how quick and even if all the CO2 is diverted from brewers to slaughterhouses. And most of us eat meat. Observation:...

Re: guidance on over night babysitting rates please

We have paid our wonderful nanny normal rate until 10pm then £6 per hour (a bit more than half rate) until 7am. Our kids have no night time waking and sleep until 7 (sometimes longer) so we all are happy with that arrangement. I’m sure if the sleeping was less consistent we could expect to pay more ...

Re: Woman suffers six puncture wounds as she is mauled by fox while sleeping in bed at her London home

My old friend from our days at Cheltenham Ladies once said “Foxhunting = Rentokil on a horse”. I have to say that I was very sad when I had to hang up my red jacket for the last time. A lot of countryside traditions and jobs (including my late Husband’s) depended upon ‘the hunt’ in our local area. ...

Re: Woman suffers six puncture wounds as she is mauled by fox while sleeping in bed at her London home

Wow. Another tolerant liberal. There is so much truth in the old aphorism that " there is nothing as intolerant as a proselytising liberal ". Personally I'm against fox hunting and would never do it, despite being brought up in the country, but I'm not sure what right I have to condemn peo...

Re: Woman suffers six puncture wounds as she is mauled by fox while sleeping in bed at her London home

Bring back fox hunting??? I think you’ll find that most people are totally against this barbaric ‘sport’ so good luck with that! In the meantime, perhaps you could set aside some time to locate your heart. I think you might find it lodged up your backside somewhere. Have a great day. #bekindtoeveryk...

Re: Woman suffers six puncture wounds as she is mauled by fox while sleeping in bed at her London home

Well said sixfootred! Foxes are urban wildlife, not vermin. Why are we so arrogant to think that only we humans have a right to occupy any particular place. What a dreary old world it would be if we didn’t have any other creatures in our cities. I haven’t seen an urban fox for ages now and I always...

Re: Recommendations for vegan cake/bakery?

Hummingbird cupcakes are waaaaay to sweet and sickly so hopefully the cakes will be better. They use far too much frosting IMHO. Just my view though! I hope you enjoy it.

Re: Recommendations for vegan cake/bakery?

Vida Bakery makes the best vegan cakes (hey can also be gluten free). They’re based in East London but are worth the trip. I do a fair bit of my own baking (were a vegan family) but this year I couldn’t face all the extra work involved for a themed cake so my son had an amazing 7 layer rainbow layer...

Re: Woman suffers six puncture wounds as she is mauled by fox while sleeping in bed at her London home

Anyone else smell a touch of fake news here or just me? The picture of her dressed in her glad rags holding a glass of wine for the paper just smacks of someone wanting to get in the news so I’m wondering if the fox was made a bit of a scapegoat. I’m not saying she wasn’t bitten but it is very out o...

Re: Vegan families in the area?

Hi yes - happy to help. Give me a shout anytime! Suffice to say it’s the best thing you can do for the animals, for your health and for the planet. I couldn’t love this lifestyle more and it is totally doable these days - not complicated at all. Feel free to DM me - and anyone else that would like t...
