Re: Getting to C&W when I go into labour

Hi there, I used a Halo cab (black cab) 2 years ago to get to C and W and he was fine about it. He was very attentive; slowed down for speed bumps and kept checking I was okay then offered to take me up to the labour ward when we arrived. I was on my own as hubby has to stay with our eldest at home....

Re: Knotweed in South West London

We had it in our garden 8 years ago when we bought our house in SW11. We had it professionally treated several times and it took about a year to clear. All the neighbouring gardens also had it and is completely gone now as far as I can see. But yes, it's rife and a pain in the proverbial!

Recommended bathroom design/suppliers/fitters

Apologies if I am repeating previous threads - I did have a look but similar threads appear to be a few years old now. I am looking for recommendations regarding bathroom refurbishment. Can you recommend a particular company/individual that doesn't charge through the roof but provides a quality serv...

toddler pulls out hair as a comforter

Hi there, My 16 month old has sucked his thumb since birth. He's also been fascinated by fluff, hair from my hairbrush etc for a long time too, and revoltingly, it often ends up in his mouth. However for the last week, possibly 2, he has started to pull out big clumps of his hair when he sucks his t...

Re: My baby is struggling to drink milk - recommendations fo

Thanks Pie81 - I feel reassured! :)

It is very interesting reading this thread as my first child, now nearly 4, had many of the above symptoms which were dismissed by the GP and HV. I wish I had pursued further as he must have been in such pain! :(

Good luck everyone.

Re: My baby is struggling to drink milk - recommendations fo

Hi there, I am very sorry to hear of your baby's discomfort, poor little thing. I just have a question to all - explosive poos are mentioned a lot on here. My son is 8 weeks old and always has explosive poos - a few a day. He has a proper session where he has to really concentrate and will go severa...

Re: Christmas gift budget - Can you help?

A really tricky one. We had the same dilemma this year. I talked about it with my family this year and we have all agreed to majorly cut down. I have parents, 3 siblings, their other halves and a gaggle of children between us. Not to mention the in-laws. In total there are over 20 close family to bu...

Re: looking for a NEW CLEANER BUT ONE THAT DOSE NOT STEAL TH

MGMidget, I am under the impression they used the footage as evidence to prosecute. Because the nannycam/cctv footage was used by the homeowner in their own home then it is viable. I believe if someone else sets up the nannycam/cctv in a different property then it becomes complicated. However, this ...

Re: looking for a NEW CLEANER BUT ONE THAT DOSE NOT STEAL TH

So sorry to hear this. My parents had a similar situation in the country. They caught their cleaner stealing after 15 years of cleaning for them. My Father kept cash hidden - not a lot, maybe 60-70 quid at any one time but noticed 10-20 was going missing on a regular basis - either that or he was go...

Re: Rotavirus Vaccine

HI there,

To those of you who have experience RV, you poor things, how do they diagnose it, as opposed to passing it off as the norovirus or other bugs? My son and I both suffered diarrhoea last year for over 3 weeks and the docs were quite unhelpful.

Thanks x

Re: Knotweed in Clapham or Balham?

Our garden was full of it when we bought our house 5 years ago. We live BTC. It was highlighted in the survey when we bought but we were still able to get a mortgage on the proviso that the previous owners pay for its removal. We had a firm come in 3 times a year for 3 years to apply industrial weed...
