Looking for a part time Mothers help

Hi! We have three children; a 7yo, 5yo and 14 week old. I’m currently on maternity leave but I’m looking for someone who might be able to help me out on a part time basis. I’m really flexible on hours but would like it to include 3pm-7pm on some days to help pick older children up from school, help ...

Re: nanny/mothers help avaliable

Evening Jess Have you found some more hours yet? If not I’d love to chat. Our au pair is leaving shortly and I’m looking for some help when she leaves. We have a 3 month old and a 5yo and 7yo who are at school. Hours are very flexible as I’m at home on maternity leave but I’d love someone to help me...

Re: Have you got a child at Eaton House or Thomas's Clapham

Out2pasture. Just read this post and not sure if you have an answer to your question yet but yes the girls do ballet every week as part of the timetable in all 3 terms. They also have ballet presentations that parents are invited to attend. My daughter is thriving in EH and we are thrilled with it. ...

Re: Volvo Repair

Croydon Volvo picked ours up and repaired it but we were not very impressed by the overall service they gave and they did the absolutely bare minimum despite insurance company paying. We won't be using them again so I will follow this thread with interest.

16 inch boys bike wanted

I am looking for a second hand 16 inch bike for my very tall 3.5yo son. Ideally one that is light like a Frog, Isla or Hoy bike. His older sister is not yet tall enough to move up a size which is frustrating as I don't really want to buy two of the same sized bikes hence looking for something suitab...

Re: Newly Qualified Norland Nanny

We interviewed 3 girls and they were all amazing however we entered the game later in the process as we didn't get application in as soon as the deadline opened and so by the time they came to us they were all having 2nd/3rd interviews and one even had an over night trial with another family. We did...

Re: Hornsby or Eaton House Girls

Our daughter is in form 1 at Eaton House and absolutely loves it, has done from the minute she started. We too had to decide between EH and HH and decided on EH for the ease of school run and the fact that we then wouldn't need a nanny/au pair who would have to drive which was a big factor for us. I...

How to get rid of moths?

We have been clearing out our loft and have found evidence of moths. Until recently, I never actually saw any, however, they had happily chewed their way through some winter jumpers. In the last few days have seen a few on walls and feel we need to call in the professionals before it gets out of han...

Re: Tots tennis at Clapham Common. Any interest?

We would definitely be interested but our son will have just turned 3 so may be a bit young.

Also, do you run classes for a 5 year old? If so when would they be?

Thanks

Re: Bifolds dilemma/ escalating costs!

We had the same dilemma a few years back. We decided to go for large, plain French doors with special hinges so they open right back onto themselves. This means that when it is summer and you have them pinned back the back of the house is open wide. We love it and it was a lot cheaper than bifolds. ...

How much do you pay your au pair?

We are considering getting an au pair in the Summer and would expect them to work 25-30 hours per week with a night babysitting a week. How much should we be looking to pay them? Also, can anyone also tell me roughly how much your household bills roughly increase by when having a live in au pair? Al...

Re: Live in nanny question

Thanks for your response. I hadn't thought of a nanny leaving London on days off/part of the week, that's a good point. I assumed that the nanny would live with us full time but only work and be paid for 35-40hr a week. We would be very happy either way. Have always been flexible in our approach and...

Live in nanny question

We are considering getting a live in nanny around April/May time. We have had a live in nanny previously and she worked full time 7-7 5 days a week. Our home set up has changed a bit since then and I can work either 3 or 4 days a week plus both children attend school and nursery. Has anyone had part...
