Teddington pre-school

Does anyone know if there is a morning-only pre-school in or near Teddington?  The Methodist one has closed down.

Temporary childminder needed for school pick-up until 6pm, w/c Sep 17

I'm looking for a childminder (i.e. someone who uses their own home, not mine) to pick up my two boys from school on Nightingale Lane at 3.45pm every day of the week commencing 17th September, and look after them until 6pm.

Re: Local private primary schools?

Oliver House is exemplary in terms of both its results and leavers' destinations, which is reflected in its high ranking in this particular table. Not sure when you viewed it but it can't have been recently. http://www.wandsworthguardian.co.uk/news/15676617.This_Clapham_prep_school_is_the_highest_ra...

Re: Local private primary schools?

I believe Oliver House is number 1 among the SW London prep schools on the Times list and 6 in London as a whole. Not sure how these things are calculated, but worth bearing in mind.

Re: Delayed private school year start for August baby's

Join the FB group 'flexible school admissions for summer borns.' Our independent school wasn't keen on delaying a whole year but agreed to a January start. We were already parents at the school.

Re: Babysitting - Tilly Galbraith UCL Student

Hi Tilly,

I am looking for a babysitter in Streatham this coming Tuesday afternoon, approx 12.45-4.15. I was wondering if you would be available and if so, what you would charge?

Best wishes,

Kathleen

Re: Short term nurseries

You would certainly be able to find a childminder who offered short-term care.

Re: Mum and nanny playdate - opinion sought

I know exactly where you're coming from. Slightly different but- recently, on two separate occasions, different friends have texted to ask if I would be at a playgroup that morning. When I texted back 'yes', thinking I may as well go and see my friends, it turns out on both occasions their husbands ...

Re: The Orthodontic Practice, Battersea Rise - opinions plea

They did my brace as an adult and I seem to remember they were cheaper than other places. They did a good job, didn't sign me off until they were sure everything was perfect, and sent me away with retainers (apparently not everyone does).

Re: Beware your car...

Quite so, but mine certainly isn't. If MPSBatterseaSgt sees this, I would very much appreciate that email address if possible!

Re: Beware your car...

We don't live in Balham, so I would prefer contact details for Streatham if possible- particularly as they are not in the same borough.

Re: Beware your car...

We witnessed what looked like the end of a car theft on our street the other night. My husband videoed from the house but Brixton police station weren't interested in the footage as they found the USB hard to get to grips with (!). Do you have an equivalent email address for Streatham, as it sounds ...

Re: Controversial question regarding faith schools

Why would -for instance -my local Catholic church give a substantial amount of its annual income to its associated Catholic school, providing a strong Catholic ethos and religious formation, and *not* prioritise the Catholic children It would most benefit? All faith schools allocate places by priori...

Re: Controversial question regarding faith schools

As pointed out by an earlier poster, faith schools are partly funded by the religious organisation with which they are associated. Why would they do so if the schools were not handing on the faith? So you don't need to worry, proportionally fewer of your taxes are in fact supporting the local Cathol...
