Learning to ride a bike - recommendation

My 5 year old has just learnt to ride after 3 1 hour sessions with the pedal project. Can’t recommend it enough. We went to the one in Battersea. There was a small group age range 48 (best guess) and all predalling at the end. They give you extra classes (for free) if you haven’t mastered it in the ...

Re: Basic Landscaper/patio builder needed

I used Francis to dig up my back lawn including some paving, level it, and lay some artificial grass. He's inexpensive and a really hard worker, the end result is good but not perfect- but to be honest he doesn't charge perfect prices- that said he also put up my fence and did a really good job of t...

Re: Grey hair

I have tried most high street brands, all are ok, just make sure your hair has been washed without conditioner on (or they don't cover grey), start with the grey bits first, so they get the dye on the longest, and go at least 1 shade lighter (worst case scenario here is grey bits are not 100% as dar...

Does anyone have one they no longer need? Happy to pay a small amount but really don't want to create more plastic for such a short term use.

Re: school shoes

Sainsburys for wellies and trainers, or mothercare for wellies (but beware, our size 6 toddler wellies in mothercare are bigger than size 7 in sainsburys)- both have wellies for £7ish in basic range. I think sports direct may have wellies too.

Re: Recommendations for private nurseries in Earlsfield

My daughter who is 2 1/2 has been at sticky fingers 1 year, and it's great- she loves it. They don't have a day rate per se as it gets cheaper the more care you have. We go 3 days a week, approx, £60 per day (8-6). You don't pay in the weeks when it's shut. It's cheaper on a per day basis if you use...

Re: Disposable or reusable nappies?

I used reusables in the day (easy peasy ones) and the biodegradable disposables at night. I started in the first 2 weeks and continued until I went back to work at one. Planning on doing the same with number 2. I bought my reusables 2nd hand (although it turned out they were basically new). If you'r...

Re: Buggyboard advice needed

We have a bugaboo bee. Was going to get a mini buggy board, but got a maxi second hand. They are a little but deeper, a little bit higher and a little bit wider than the mini. However I'm pleased we got the maxi as full depth is useful, and it fits bugaboo bee (old version) really well- no tripping ...
