Most schools are happy for children to go home on their own from Y5 ish, i.e. 10 - and you can imagine that many of those go home and are alone for at least a short while. We expect our secondary school children to travel to/from home alone and you could argue that being alone for a couple of hours ...

Do look at High View as well. It is doing well - results comparable to Belleville - and there are more and more positive reviews of it. It is also a feeder for Bolingbroke which will be your nearest state secondary which could be a factor if you are considering long-term state education in this area.

Results are not a factor in the admissions policy supergirl. Although I can imagine it might go that way in the next 5-7 years - for example introducing a banding system, like the one used at Ashcroft (rather than a selective stream like Graveney). That's pure speculation on my part though.
