There's a beach and lido and plenty of very family friendly places to eat - there's a restaurant right in the middle of the promenade I think it's called Primrose or Primula maybe that we used to g...

Re: Help I need to move baby onto bottles!

Hello we have literally cracked this in the last few days with almost 8 month old. He would never take a drop from a bottle before. I gave up trying it with BM and used formula in a TT bottle. But after reading somewhere to do the milk very warm I did that and it has worked. But my husband gives him...

Re: Decorator recommendation required please

hi there - we used a brilliant decorator last summer to do all our house inside and out (mostly painting and some papering) - he was brilliant. Half the price of the other quote I got - and perfect finish everywhere. And he had his work cut out because the place was a mess. He was also lovely to hav...

Re: Architect/Structural Engineer Recommendations Please?

hi Camille - if you haven't found anyone yet I used Steve Burr last year when we moved to SW19. He was great (house had a LOT of issues) and I thought it was very reasonable not that these things are ever cheap. wandsworth@sbdconsultants.co.uk Good luck with your house. We had a fabulous builder too...

Re: New Kitchen

hi there - I just had a bespoke kitchen made by Unfitted (unfitted.co.uk) and they were amazing. Really hands on and tons of good ideas - although I was pretty definite about what I wanted to. I think the quality for the money is really very good - it was about half the price of better known compani...

Re: UK based child-friendly country house hotel recommendations

hi there - it's not south west but the Grove in hertfordshire is amazing for kids. Lovely bike rides, great kids clubs, two pools (one indoor and warm so perfect for your two year old) and the restaurant staff are very chilled about dealing with kids. They also do great extra stuff like leave milk a...

Re: Questions about nanny wages please!

Haven't yet done a contract but having just done everything else this week.... Nanny tax can sort out all your tax, NI and payslips - the annual fee is something like £270. If you look on their website they have all of the holiday/sick pay details on there - I think it's five weeks but that's pro ra...
