Re: Early menopause - how did you cope?

Hi, I was put into menopause at 39 due to having to have my ovaries removed. The advice I was given was to take HRT until around 50, to offset the risks associated with early menopause. As a consequence I'm on high dose HRT, which will gradually be reduced in time. For me, the HRT has been fabulous ...

Re: Hatton Gardens

Do consider other areas. The mark up for Hatton Gardens jewellers is significant. We love pieces we've had made at W&W on Webbs Road which were at much more competitive prices as they don't have the same overheads as a Central London jeweller. You can still choose stones and design pieces at pla...

Re: Making a Ring! Looking for ring/diamond shops in London and Brighton

Definitely go and see W&W on Webbs Road before you spend any money in Hatton Gardens. Stones are much better value due to their location, pieces are beautifully made and the service is fabulous.

Re: Money for "me time"?

I think this is a really contentious issue for anyone that gives up work. My childhood memories involve my parents arguing about my mother's spending on anything from clothes to the family shop. As a consequence, like you, it was something we discussed a lot in relation to me giving up work. My gran...

Any yoga/pilates with toddlers?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows of any yoga or pilates classes for mothers, that I can take an 18 month old along to with me to potter around at the same time? I know it rather takes away from the relaxing, tranquil element, but I'm lacking a childcare option!
Many thanks

Re: Tiling a front path

Totally depends how complicated a design/how accurate your tiler is, as to whether you've been quoted an overly expensive price.

I can really recommend Angelo 07943 856459 for incredible attention to detail, and I looked at 4 other specialists, but he's busy and not super cheap.

Home friendly office accessories?

Hi, does anyone know where I can get attractive box files and the like, for an office that is in a public area of the house, so it looks a bit less like Rymans has taken over?! Many thanks

Re: DEVOL kitchens

We've got one. It was great value, looks amazing (and hasn't worn at all in 3 years, probably helped by their finish being easy to wipe down for some reason), and they had the patience of saints dealing with me on the design side. A good friend is currently ordering one as she likes ours so much, an...

Re: Deferring place for summer born advice please!

As a 31st August birthday, I think you are right that at school the issue is not actually the academic work, but the maturity difference. I know some of the private schools locally divide the reception intake by birthday to try and ease that, but understand you are looking at state. There are argume...
