Re: area around Twickenham station - nice enough to live in?

I used to live in grimwood road for 12 years with my two kids and it's fab. Very friendly neighbours, full of kids. It's a dead end road so only residential traffic and it has it's own playground. Only a couple of minutes walk from twickenham station for fast trains to Waterloo. There's a nursery ri...

Re: Anyone been glamping

Have a look at Longlands - established last year by a Teddington family in North Devon. It looks fantastic and has had great reviews. They have literally thought of everything - the safari lodges come completely equipped with all your toiletries, dog baskets, pantry kits plus everything you'd expect...

Re: Newland house v Twickenham prep?

I think the schools are pretty similar to be honest. I think it's a question of how far you want to drive and walk at the end of the day. Re Nursery school - if you're going to live in Hampton Wick go and have a look at the Pavilion on Broom Road recreation ground. It's a fantastic montessori school...

Re: Move to Teddington???

What a brave move, but I'm sure you'll love it. The area is well blessed with excellent schools and masses of activities. You'll get much better value for money in Hampton Hill house wise than Teddington and the schools are all good there too. Strawberry Hill is lovely too and in between everywhere ...

Re: Should i have a home birth?

You should be watching ITV at the moment - Home Delivery. I had a my 3rd at home and it was absolutely fantastic. I had three straightforward pregnancies, but frenetic births with the first two at hospital, so pushed for a home birth with the 3rd. It was the best think I've EVER done - incredibly ca...

Re: Reasonably prices baby sitters Teddington

I do. My eldest daughter babysits often. She is 17 and very experienced and is comfortable with ages 2 plus. We have younger kids too so she is very used to little ones and babysits for many of our youngest's friends. She's babysits at least once a week and has been doing so for years. She comes wit...

liking the new patisserie in teddington!! Sidra, Church Road

Liking the new patisserie in Teddington on Church road. Hadn't seen it before but we were at the dentist next door and popped in after for Hot Chocolate. Lots of yummy things there - Iranian sweets, speciality breads as well as the traditional chocolate brownies etc. I also saw that they have little...

Re: New Sainsbury's Local coming to Teddington???

Oh right - so there's one coming to Twickenham Green and one to Teddington then. Local press is only covering the Green one. Wonder why there's no mention of Teddington.

Re: New Sainsbury's Local coming to Teddington???

Oh, I'm not sure that's good news is it. Where's the opposition to it - I haven't seen anything about it. Nothing on Teddington town unless it's awhile ago...

Re: vit supplements for children?

I'm interested in a good solution for Vitamin D too...i understood that you need to eat a serious amount of vit d rich foods to get the recommended intake and clearly with a lack of sun in the winter months it's pretty hard to get there through food alone. Would love to know what an expert says. Tha...
