Re: 3 months old refusing bottle- any idea what to do?

Hi, I'm a maternity nurse, here are a few ideas! 1, It is great that you are offering her feeds often, especially since she is slightly underweight. But it might just be the case that she is not taking the bottle as she is not hungry enough to be keen to take the bottle. Try leaving 3.5-4 hours in b...

Re: Sleep training a 1 year old

To: FALCONMUM Sorry to hear you having a tough time with 13 month olds sleep. Hope I have some ideas for you. Many say that sleep associations are bad and creates a desperate need for the thing/action given to sooth the baby, and baby wont go to sleep without it. Let’s try and create new, positive s...

Re: Sleep training a 1 year old

Hello mums, Thanks for emails and PMs! Before I’m being lynched on this forum for giving advice on babies and children I have never met, I just want to say that I am only trying to help the best I can on the info you have sent. In a proper sleep consultancy I would ask about every little detail from...

Re: Sleep training a 1 year old

Hi Falconmum, There's no reason to ever make your child 'cry it out'. When I worked with Night Nannies Australia as a 'baby sleep guidance specialist' as I was so kindly titled, the whole agencies approach was NO controlled crying. Ever. I meet so many mums who are so against getting a sleep trainer...

Re: Watch out this nanny if you come across her

How incredably rude! I forward a lot of nannies info to families looking, and this girl will have no luck if I ever get an application from her!

Re: Total employer cost for a full-time nanny

Hi, I work full time as a nanny and have been doing so for the last ten years. I am working both privately and for Eden nannies and Maternity, and it's the same rules/contracts weather you hire privately or through an agency. All info you have is correct; you as the employer pay the nannys taxes and...

Any Swedish nannies here?

Hi I'm a Swedish nanny 27 years old living 5 min from Clapham Common. I work full time as a nanny and would love to meet some other Swedish nannies or just swedish people in the area so I can babble in my language. I just moved here from Australia where I lived for the last 3 years and as nannying i...
