Re: School start for children born in october?

My eldest daughter was born early September so had to wait another year before most of her little friends started school, so I too was upset for my daughter to be left behind. But she made lots of other friends and has been the top of her class ever since due to the fact that she is nearly a year ol...

Re: Parkgate House

Hello, Parkgate House is a wonderful little school. My daughter no longer goes there but we still talk about her reception teacher, Miss. Lynn, who is the loveliest teacher we have ever come across. Good luck x

Hi there, years ago we used Brenda (website above) and she sorted out the problem on the first night! Since then many of my friends have hired her to help and she has never failed. Good luck! :D

Re: New Play Cafe on Northcote Road?

The rents on Webbs Road would be cheaper than Northcote Rd and runs parallel to it, so you could look there to save on overheads. I personally think it is a fabulous idea, all the best x

Re: Anyone had a basement conversion?

Would definitely recommend having a basement conversion - great having the extra space. My one word of advice would be to use one of the big boys with lots of experience as so many things can go wrong with basements. We used The London Basement Company - and they did a wonderful job for us, with ver...

Re: Does anyone have a Trikidoo trike?

Hi, I had exactly the same questions as you! I must admit I didn't even try the trike out before I went ahead and ordered one so when it arrived last week I was very nervous about riding it!!!! I have to say, when I first gave it a try I felt like I was going to topple over and it was pretty scary, ...

Re: My cleaner's husband is hitting her!

Hi there, nightmare. We have had a very similar situation just recently and I too didn't know what to do. I called the organisation below who helped liaise with the Lambeth Council Domestic Violence team. They have translators at hand. If your cleaner doesn't live in the Lambeth district then call t...

Re: Gardener for very simple gardening work required

Hi, our neighbour (who is a retired gentleman) is now cutting hedges for other neighbours. I believe his rates are very reasonable! I will ask him when I see him today if he would like his number given out. Not sure if he mows lawns though - but I'll double check with him.

Re: What do you do?

I am always very proud to say I am a stay at home Mum and I am also very grateful that I am lucky enough to have the choice. I would rather be defined as "just a mum" than anything else that's for sure!
