Re: Brick cleaning - costs and is it a good idea

Staggered at your quote SW18er! I've just had mine done (terraced single fronted house), the total cost for the cleaning was £1025, which included the scaffolding, and they repointed the apex for £300. No damage was caused by the cleaning (I had a quote from another party who said all the po...

Re: Where to get a dyson serviced

I have just had my Dyson serviced at The Sewing Centre on Battersea Park Road (yes, they do vacuum cleaners too!)- 020 7228 3022 It had a blockage, and they repaired it and serviced it for £50. Rather bizarrely, it was blocked with dog chews- and I don't have a dog! Anyway, they did it in 2 days, an...

6ft Hand Made Solid Pine Farmhouse Kitchen Dining Table

6ft Farmhouse solid pine table, suitable for kitchen or dining room. This has been used, but is in very good condition- it has recently been sanded and given one coat of clear Briwax for protection, so could be left as is, waxed with a colour or painted as desired. I had this hand made, but it doesn...

Re: Private gynae/specialist to rule out breast cancer?

I have also been to the Rose Centre recently, though for a routine check rather than a referral. My first ever breast examination, and the staff were lovely, the centre is new and clean, and as above, reassurance given on the day. All in all a very good experience- if that's the way to describe it ;)

Re: Where to sell?

Yes, me! And I'm short on handbags, so do please give me a ring if you'd like(see my previous post). Ebay is good for sought after things, and if you have the energy to take photos, do write ups, answer questions, post items etc.

Re: Is it worth tanking a basement?

Hi Coffeegirl, I'd be really interested in which builders you used too. I don't need a full on basement renovation, but what you have sounds perfect! Thanks in advance.

Re: Where to sell?

Well, as stated, there was no copying going on. And if it looks cheap- I'm a small business, and didn't have 1000s to spend on website design when I set up, just wanted a presence on the internet.

Re: Where to sell?

Hi ladies, I have just happened upon this website from the Streetlife website. Just like to let you know that I run a dress agency (from home) in SW11 and sell new/pre-loved designer and top end high street clothes. Dee and Me did close- I think she was going to let it to a nail bar, but I haven't b...
