Re: Jewellery Fixer and restringer needed

Hi Sophie - if you email me on sally_randall@yahoo.co.uk we can organise something. I live in Stockwell but often have errands to run in SW4 or SW11 so should be no trouble for me to pick up from you some time.

Re: Jewellery Fixer and restringer needed

Hi Sophie. My Mum Hillary Randall is a jeweller who specialises in repairs and restringing. Her website is: http://www.silvernutmegjewellery.com/home.htm You'll see that she's not local, she's based in Bexhill on Sea in East Sussex. She does lots of repairs by post, but I also take repairs down when...

Re: Missing cat - Salcott Road SW11

Have you phoned Battersea? If she's chipped and turned up there then they should phone you but it's worth double checking with them. Nice friendly healthy cats who are unclaimed will be rehomed really quickly.

Best of luck finding her.

Re: New Costa coffee on Old York Road :(

I don't like Costa coffee much either. Big buckets of dirty dishwater. But to be fair to them they did start as a local independent - they ground their first coffee in Lambeth in the 70s. These days they are owned by Whitbread, but I wonder at what point people stop considering businesses to be virt...

Re: Recommendations for guitar teacher for 9 year old?

Can't recommend a teacher but we used a nice agency called Musico South to find my sons piano and viola teacher. Agencies are quite unusual in music teaching but it works really well. They ask you what you want, suggest teachers and arrange all the payment. (So I pay electronically roughly monthly.)...

Re: Tube travel with toddler and infant

Ooh - I didn't know there was a lift at Earlsfield now. Those stairs were terrible. Really steep and a really quiet station during the day so hardly anyone around to help.

Re: Tube travel with toddler and infant

People will help if you ask. My eldest went through a terrified-of-escalators phase. I had to hold the youngest so the only way I could travel was by asking passers by to hold the eldest's hand. Not ideal but people were always happy to help when asked.

Re: Tube travel with toddler and infant

Maclaren and sling. Buggy boards are really tricky on escalators. Check out your route though - there are a lot more lifts than there used to be and you might be able to find a level route, eg by using lifts at Brixton or Clapham Junction to access the network. Might be worth the diversion if you e....

Re: Ex-landlord owes us money. What to do?

Hi. Two things you need to know. FIrstly, the previous poster is absolutely right about your tenancy. Assuming you had an assured shorthold tenancy (Which almost everyone does) it rolls over automatically unless you or your landlord ends it by giving notice. The thing with the letting agent is that ...
