Please recommend a female friendly gym with good classes for a teenage girl (16).   Such an array online but it is hard to tell which would be suitable.    We are looking for somewhere very clean and not too busy. She is looking particularly for good fitness class options. We are looking for somewhe...

handyman expert in skirting boards

Can anyone recommend a handyman who can remove old outdated skirting boards and put new ones in?  Also someone who could do small tiling jobs on a fireplace and hallway. The skirting board job isn't straight forward as it's a steep stairway that needs doing. Could be a handyman who wants extra weeke...

Handyman/odd jobs

Hello,

Does anyone have a handyman recommendation?

Lots of small jobs that don’t justify getting a professional company out - also need someone flexible with timings and able to work over weekends.

Any recommendations would be great.

Re: Chestnut Grove boy chased by masked group today

Good on you, Mungomuffet. Let's hope they tackle this head on and take it very seriously, he could have been knocked over which would have been tragic for his family and of course for you and your family(even though it wasn't your fault the guilt would be unbearable), this can't go on without someth...

Re: Chestnut Grove boy chased by masked group today

That poor boy! I would ring the school on Monday and report what you saw so perhaps they can mention in it an assembly for the boy who was chased to come forward, as all too often they stay quiet for fear of repercussions and live in constant fear when arriving to/leaving school. What on earth is ha...

Re: Questions about Childminders

Hello, I'm a local childminder and rates are around £7 to £9/£10 per hour in the Northcote Rd area depending on whether they include meals, outings, snacks, nappies, wipes and hours and whether they work alone or have an assistant/partner. In my case a full time fee is less than a part time fee, as ...

Re: Bolingbroke Academy, thoughts?

Have read this thread and raises some interesting points, I'm not offended by anyone's opinion and think that Seb was right when he said the jury is out, it certainly is! Like Jane-Paints I also have a daughter who just joined Year 7 from HW. Recently I enjoyed the Year 7 parent evening, parents had...

Re: Bolingbroke Academy, thoughts?

Goldhawk - not sure if there were any from BV or the other schools not being successful but haven't heard of anyone from HW not getting in despite a few having siblings so being automatically alocated a place. A significant percentage of Honeywell pupils went private/Burntwood/Graveney so I assume s...

Re: Childminder rates

Hi there, I'm a childminder and each childminder is different and sets their own rates as they are self employed and will need to decide what to include in the daily fee and how much they need to earn to make a margin of profit but also provide quality care/toys/outings/meals. You could look on the ...
