We go to Painshill Park every year... the grotto is set within the woods, so take your wellies, but the kids love it.

Strawberry Hill Ice Skating

I'm thinking about booking ice skating at Strawberry Hill House (its the first year i think they have had one) - has anyone been yet? Is it as good as Hampton Court is the BIG question?

What do women REALLY want for xmas?

Really struggling on ideas for a nice Christmas present for my wife... want it to be something special and not just something for the house. So ideally something for her. And something for her to actually open on the 25th. Any ideas would be appreciated and our little secret! ;) Thank you.

Thank you for the information - super helpful. I'm so pleased I'm not the only one it's bothering. I have just drafted a very angry, but well constructed email to complain. Thanks again. Fingers crossed the decision makers actually listen to us and we're not drowned out by the aviation noise!

Aeroplane noise ruining our home!

What the heck is going on with the aeroplanes?!?!?! For some reason they are now all taking off over Teddington which means that their engines are on full throttle over our once quiet town. Vince Cable or whoever the heck is in charge, sort it out!!! It's driving us mad.... anyone else getting irrit...

Yeah, major problems hey? My 2.5 year old is exactly the same!!!! So, i have several strategies for dealing with this, 1) say "it's not on" (as in the tv show or whatever) 2) batteries have run out 3) (and my favourite) Keep it out of sight and therefore out of mind I am also wrestling wit...

Totally agree with this. It's double trouble because these offenders are polluting the natural environment with plastic bags AND poo!!! On a recent run in Esher common, I even noticed people had hung these bags in trees. Weirdly, if the plastic bags take a million years to decompose are you effectiv...

Yeah, we have a budget on extended family gifts. Basically its a no limit rule for any kids and the adults have a 10 pound limit. My sister in law complained that 'you can't get anything for a 10er' but i think if you are imaginative you can't go far wrong. It also requires you to really think about...

Have to say, Islabikes are fantastic. So lite and easy for the child to use. Give them a call and ask them. They are super helpful and just a great and friendly bunch. Eitherway they will give you some good advice.

Hey Larapru, I think it all comes down to your lifestyle. Are you big outdoor, high energy people or do you prefer your creature comforts etc? The question is what type of dog will fit your lifestyle? I think this is the really important one as there are often issues where people pick the wrong bree...
