Selling: Oyster Pushchair & carrycot travel system £100

I'm selling my Babystyle Oyster Plush pushchair and carrycot. Suitable from birth. Pushchair is in good condition although there are a few scratches on the frame. Handle is in leatherette (no holes) and has various heights that can be used. Large basket underneath is also in good condition. There is...

Re: Stolen stroller at London Baby Swim Wandsworth

I agree in part 'tooposhtopush' (love the name!) as customer service is very important but at the same time, if you left your car unlocked at B&Q would they be responsible? Surely providing a way of locking your buggy is providing a way for belongings to be safe? There is certainly no reason for...

Re: Stolen stroller at London Baby Swim Wandsworth

It's terrible that people have had their buggies stolen but it upsets me to hear people blaming the swim school. It is made very clear that buggies need to be left outside and they provide loops for the buggies to be locked to. You can even buy a cheap lock from TIGER in the shopping centre for less...

Re: Eveline trinity Cres or Magdalen nursery?

My 18month old son goes to Magdalen and loves it. He's been there since 9months. He gets really excited when he sees his friends and he loves all the carers. It also has a fabulous garden. My advice though is to go and visit each of them and see what your gut feeling says. All parents (and children)...

Employment lawyer?

Is anyone an employment lawyer (or know one) that would be able to give me some advice (preferable free of charge!)? My previous employer maternity policy meant I had to stay for a year or repay my OMP. However, once back at work I wasn't given any decent projects or work to do so I left rather than...

Re: Help! HR advice required

Thanks lorrwa. I don't mind paying it because I knew the policy. It's more that they are taking it out of my final salary leaving it as zero. I'm hoping they will stagger the repayment but I'm yet to hear.

Help! HR advice required

I've just handed in my notice having only been back at work 5 months since having my boy which means I have to repay the maternity pay over statutory that I had. This is a ridiculous amount and I'm only leaving because I think it's the only way I can progress in my career, but they are wanting to ta...

Re: Maternity policies

Thanks Pop. I think they probably can deduct from final salary but I still think it's unreasonable. I was also fully aware of the policy before I came back so it's my own fault really.

Re: Maternity policies

Thanks Abbeville mum, I have pm'd you. It's such a horrible position to be in... they also said they would take as much as they could from my final salary if I left which would basically mean we wouldn't be able to pay the mortgage or childcare for that month which I see as a form of blackmail... st...
