Hi, I would recommend Marcin Krupa. he did our wooden floors about 18 months ago and managed to turn them from total disaster to wonderful. He sanded, replaced a number of boards, varnished and filled in between the boards (we had drafty gaps!). He's very efficient and I think for what he does he is...

You should have a go at baking it, they're easy to make if you've got a bit of time. The galette de rois can be ridiculously overpriced (£20 for one at Madeleine!). Good luck.

Thanks Bramble, that pretty much sums me up at the moment, throw in a potential family move and really I don't feel that I'm thinking straight. I'll look into both!
