Re: Live chat with Councillor Mrs. Kathy Tracey

As Trinity St Mary's is a Church of England school it does not suit all parents. It is, however, a good school.

And you are wrong about Chestnut Grove school not being oversubscribed. 857 parents applied for 165 available places for their children.

Re: Honeywell and Belleville There is a need for more reception places in Northcote Ward, although the opening of Rutherford House has helped. Belleville was expanded to a four-form entry school recently and has little space for further expansion. It might be possible to expand Honeywell School, eit...

Re: renting to get a school place

Yes, renting a property just to get a school place is wrong and unfair, and the council certainly does not condone it in any way.

Re: school catchment areas and renting This is a difficult one because for various reasons people do have to rent property and understandably should expect to be able to get their children into their local school. The council does check the council tax register to ensure that this is their main home...

Re: Live chat with Councillor Mrs. Kathy Tracey

Dear Wandsworth Mum of a Toddler

The council so far has managed to keep ahead of the game and over the last three years we have expanded by 25 reception classes. Some of these have been provided by expanding existing schools and some by our three new free schools.
