Re: First time pregnant..... NHS v/s private anxiety

I gave birth to both of my children at C&W and attended pre-natal checkups at my local clinic which was very convenient. The care was fantastic, and you have your own private room on labour ward (and access to the birthing pool suite if its available which is fantastic) when you're ready for lab...

Re: Tantrums - Please help I am desperate

Just a thought... Is his hearing ok? Quite common for toddlers with glue ear to behave badly in social situations because they can't hear properly. Might be worth getting it checked if you think it could be a problem. Otherwise MummyWalker is right - try analysing which situations are upsetting him ...

Re: Do you tell off other people's kids?

Hear hear Harried Mum!
The parents/nannies should have disciplined their children for running riot before you felt you had to say something. You were totally right!
My children are told that they have to behave and respect others when we're out in public, otherwise they have to leave the shop/cafe.

Re: Husband's help with newborn

I agree it's all about teamwork. Why don't you just speak to your husband and ask him what he is/isn't prepared to do for the next few weeks while you recover from the birth (and probably weeks of not sleeping whilst pregnant!) and get yourselves into a bit of a routine. I'm sure you can figure out ...

Re: A good jeweller in Hatton Gardens

I have a fantastic jeweller who is based out of London (so you don't pay ridiculous London prices) but he's happy to travel up to London and bring pieces with him if you have an idea of what you're looking for and your budget. He and his partner are ex Burlington Arcade jewellers so they really know...

Re: Aggressive nanny

Perhaps you could describe the little boy and the nanny in more detail so that if the Mummy/one of her friends is a member they can get in touch with you for more info - I know I'd want to know (and sack her!) if it was my nanny mistreating my son as you have described.

Re: Complete Placenta Previa

Hi there I had this with my 1st baby - like you they spotted it at my 20 week scan. I had to have another scan at around 35/37 weeks to check whether the placenta had moved (luckily it had and everything was ok!). I think worst case scenario you may have to have a planned c-section if it hasn't move...

Re: Taking the kids on holiday before the end of term?

My Mother is a governor of a Primary school and gets very annoyed (as do all the teaching staff) with parents who take their children out of school during term time for holidays because: Pupil absences during term time increases absentee rates monitored by Ofsted so if everyone does it then it could...
