i've done loads of travel with kids and i suggest you not worry. they will not let a 2-year-old sit on their own and, as the previous poster said, the bassinet isn't great and you'd probably end up holding the baby anyway. it will just sleep on your lap or shoulder and you can pass it back and forth...
