Outdoor summer camps

Anyone know any outdoorsy style summer camps good for active five year old? Was keen on wild education but it is fully booked.

Re: Preparing for school

Good idea to make sure they are really good with toilet stuff, so can wipe themselves, wash their hands, flush etc. Plus as well as clothes get them shoes they find easy to take on and off themselves. Really exciting time.

Steam mop

Very boring but thinking of getting a steam mop. Are they any good and it is worth paying for a more expensive one with all the attachments or will a cheaper one do the job? Any recommendations appreciated.

Re: Primary schools admissions results day

I bet that must be true for a lot of Teddington families applying this year. Here are the cut offs from richmond inclusive schools. Haven't seen anything about church schools cut offs for non religious places. http://www.richmondinclusiveschools.org.uk/files/view/useful-data/primaryCutOffDistances20...

Would you say anything

I am quite friendly with a school mum, her youngest is in the same class as my middle child. They do an after school activity which their nanny takes the youngest LO too and she seems quite inattentive. Either surfing phone or even once falling asleep on one occasion. If her charge doesn't listen or...

Re: How to get my LO prepared for role at wedding

How about buying her a cheap fancy dress Princess dress, even a character one if she has any favourites, that she can practice wearing and get excited about her upcoming role as a princess? Also I wouldn't worry too much as when she sees everyone getting ready on the day she will probably get excite...

Adhoc gardening

Can anyone recommend a gardener for a couple of days work. Ours is looking very tatty and we have a big tree that needs cutting back but don't want to spend loads, just have a general tidy that means I can then look after it for the rest of summer.

Re: Aggressive cold callers

I've stopped answering the door now after 6, if I am home alone although I did have someone rattle on the window the other night which was really unnerving. the way I see it, anyone who knows me would call my mobile, shout throug...

Re: Barbers for boys haircut

Thanks for the reply, who do you have there? I have had good and bad experiences. Stacey was good but think she is in maternity leave? I stopped going as seemed a lot of money for a ten minute boys haircut but maybe should give another go.

Re: Primary schools admissions results day

I saw that the Hampton wick infants catchment was huge this year, over 5,000 metres. Collis was up to 828m from 740m thanks to the bulge class they are taking. Not sure if this is permanent or if it will be back to 90 intake next year? Feel for parents not getting their first choices and then going ...
