Re: Wandsworth Architect Suspended for Bodged Loft Conversion

Does anyone know how to report an architect? We have had a terrible experience and after costing us 10s of thousands of pounds due to his errors I want to report him and hopefully recoup some money! Thanks.

Re: IFA recommendations?

Hi there, My husband is an IFA and a Fellow is the CII (the highest level awarded). He has been advising for over 15 years and is classed as an investment and pensions specialist. I have added his details to Nappy Valley before and users have gone on to take his advice. Here is his website if you wa...

Re: Advice re quick birth registration in Lambeth

Congratulations!

I'm assuming you will be driving as you can't usually fly within 2 weeks of the birth. You're probably fully aware of this but just thought it may be helpful xx

Stopping BF'ing at 12 months

Hi all, My little girl is just about to turn one and I am keen to stop BF'ing now. We are just doing one feed at night now as I dropped the morning one last week which she adapted easily to. She has never taken the bottle and refuses to drink cows milk. I'm concerned about her getting enough calcium...

Re: C-Section or Natural?

Yes pros and cons not scary statistics. I'm not saying either way is best. I agree with earlier posts that it is a personal choice which we are lucky to have. I do think that it is better to share positive stories rather than negative or damn right scary ones for someone about to go through birth. W...

Re: C-Section or Natural?

This_is_cat - how are you helping here? Had I not gone through birth myself and looked to this site for some help I would be very concerned re your comments! You are pushing your beliefs on others and using specific stats to support them. Vaginal birth is natural and is the way nature intended it. O...

Re: C-Section or Natural?

Hi, Plenty of good messages here but thought I would try and add something. I had my first baby 10 months ago and whilst it was far from easy, I wouldn't have changed the way I did it. I had a water birth with no pain relief and if you knew me you would be amazed - I am rather pathetically weak and ...

Re: Nappy Valley estate agent commission levels?

Hi there, We've just sold a flat by Clapham South tube and initially had this listed with a local agent (charging 1.5%+VAT) we struggled to negotiate much though James Pendleton did offer 1%+VAT I beleive (we were going to use them after the minimum period was up with M&P). The estate agent we h...

Which solicitors to use for a new house purchase?

Hello,

Does anyone have any positive experiences of local solicitors that they could recommend for a house purchase?

I have only ever had a relatively poor experience in the past and would love to choose someone who is efficient and not over priced.

Thanks

Hayley

Re: Recommendations for IFA (for investments and pensions)

My husband, David Berry, works with St James's Place and has been in 'the business' for 15 years. A large amount of his clients are based around the Nappy Valley and he is classed as both an investment and pensions expert by the regulators (he is a Chartered Financial Planner) If you want to have a ...

Re: Pet and house sitting

Hi,

Try looking at trustedhousesitter.com, you can read the reviews of people that offer their services.

I've personally never used it but I have met people that have used it / sat for others.

Disposable or reusable nappies?

Hi, I'm having my first baby in 3 months and just starting to think about what we need. I'm quite environmentally conscious and like the idea of using reusable nappies but have no idea which ones to use, how many we need, to what age / weight they need replacing….. Any past experience would be great...
