Re: Split of responsibilities with your partner

When I was married, my ex-husband left all domestic/admin/childcare duties to me despite me also having a full time job… his opinion was that he was the main bread winner so his time was more precious. Note here, he is now my EX-husband. I’m now in a relationship with a man with children from a prev...

Re: 25th Wedding Anniversary gift suggestion

How about a bespoke perfume making experience at Floris London? Suitable for both genders too.

I bought this as a gift for a family member and they still re-order their very own bespoke perfume 10 years on.

We had Afternoon Tea at the Ritz afterwards too

Re: ex bringing new girlfriend on family holiday

If possible, and he is serious about his new relationship, I would ask your ex to introduce you to the new girlfriend before the event so that you are not meeting for the first time in front of an audience and more importantly, in front of your children... perhaps even try a second meeting just you ...

Re: Camping in the backyard

Love this idea! I have the Decathlon Air tent which I put up last summer with my then 5yo in a matter of minutes - she loved helping and pumping up the beams! It was just the two of us and so easy to do. Really recommend it - it’s very sturdy once up and was one of the few tents left standing after ...

Re: Wife sharing too much on social media

It’s not unreasonable to request she stops tagging you/friends/family if they don’t wish to be and it’s also ok to ask that your private life be kept private. She should respect that and no doubt will if she is asked to do so in a calm and friendly manner. I got a bit fed up with all the tagging/bra...

Re: Rights for "common law wife"

https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1976/31/section/9

Here is a link to The Legitimacy Act 1976 - I don’t know if this is a strictly upheld law, but nonetheless, it is a legal requirement to re-register a child’s birth after the marriage of the natural parents. 🤷‍♀️
