Re: Local activities for the active elderly?

100% recommend the CrossFit Shapesmiths 55+ Masters class. My 70yr old mother tried it out the other week and loved it. She's never done CrossFit before, but they scale or adapt everything to everybody's ability. I go there myself and it's a fabulous community. They want to build a community for the...

Re: Proposed cuts to state school funding under new National Funding Formula

Yes,much better to read what the Institute for Fiscal Studies has to say, they are an independent body: https://www.ifs.org.uk/publications/9075 "School funding per pupil has been frozen in cash terms between 2015–16 and 2019–20, resulting in a real-terms cut of 6.5%. This would be the largest ...

Re: Proposed cuts to state school funding under new National Funding Formula

This is a major issue and deserves to be discussed as part of this election. Especially as it was a Tory manifesto pledge last time round to protect ...

Re: Proposed cuts to state school funding under new National Funding Formula

And it's not just affecting primary schools, it's secondary schools too! Chestnut Grove could lose £1,317 and Dunraven £1,000. I'm all for fairness and transparency in how schools are funded and London schools do receive much higher funds than in rural areas, but the biggest problem with this fundin...
