Re: Wandsworth secondary school place allocation information for September 2021

We are number 45 in band C for Chestnut Grove and have given up hope of getting in. We are about 300m further out than last years admissions band and the admissions officer offered little hope. Has been a very frustrating process with Covid restrictions and not seeing the schools. Anyone have any po...

Re: NINJA KIDS/MARTIAL ARTS SUMMER CAMP

Thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately I'm looking to sign up 2 children, so fees are a little steep for me.
A real shame as they love martial arts.
Kind regards

Re: NINJA KIDS/MARTIAL ARTS SUMMER CAMP

Sounds fun until I realised it is £40 per 2 hour session.
Is that correct? How do you justify your fee?
That's quite expensive considering it's held on the common and a group setting.

Re: Lambeth Leaseholders: WHOPPING bill for Major Works?

Oops. I meant to say £6k... Not £6 for our windows. Regardless, I agree that dealing with Lambeth Living is a nightmare. One of the windows they installed in our lounge was with frosted glass and they damaged the plasterwork around the window... I refused to pay for the full amount until the fixed i...

Re: Lambeth Leaseholders: WHOPPING bill for Major Works?

We had a £6 bill for windows being replaced 8 years ago. We had the original rotten timber windows in the property at the time. We wanted to replace the years before lambeth did, but didn't as the lease stated it was in their ownership. If we had replaced the with double glazing before they did, the...

Re: Clapham Gym Guide

I was a member at virgin active for 5 years. Classes and crèche were great...when you could get a spot! Often you had to call up the moment the classes were available to get in. It became very frustrating and stressful especially when considering the cost! About £90 per month plus £4 per hour at the...

Re: To ofsted or not to ofsted that is the question!

Yes - especially if you are using child are vouchers as you save quite a bit. Also it means that everything is more official. We helped our second nanny get registered which took 3 months. We increased her pay once registered and now she is able to charge more for her services. So don't stop intervi...

Re: Which double buggy is best for nannysharing?

We bought some clips that snap together two maclarens off Amazon. Clipped together - the buggies were a bit wide - but our nanny stayed local and we just switched to a buggy board a year later. We only had the share 2 days a week so didn't make sense. Both families had bugaboos and the light, easily...

Re: Hypnobirthing reccomendations

I just read the book - Marie Monagham sp? - and practiced relaxation with the cd before the big event. The book provided me with enough knowledge that I could relax and let my body take over. Had a natural birth(no drugs) lasting just over 7 hours. The breathing is similar to yoga breathing and very...
