Re: Dog adoptions

I don’t want to sound as if I am putting the original poster down for doing a wonderful job at trying to help these puppies and dogs. However we do actually have an abundance of dogs/puppies sitting in our own dog shelters in the UK, waiting to find a new home! During these especially difficult time...

Re: Acupuncture and Menopause

Hi Ferfi, sorry to hear you are suffering with menopausal symptoms, I totally understand how awful this can be!  I’m afraid I’m no longer in the area so unable to point you in right direction of an actual acupuncturist. However I just wanted to let you know that for me seeing one has really helped w...

Re: best nit shampoo

Snow White, I would bring this up with the school, if you haven’t already. If your daughter keeps getting reinfected it’s either because you aren’t getting all the eggs out (itching just thinking about it) or that another child in the class isn’t being treated for nits properly!  As for treatment I ...

Re: Concerned about care of a baby in Clapham Common playground (4.30 today)

dudette, I think the first two posters were just making the point that IF the original poster was that concerned why didn’t they go up to the parent/nanny/childcare provider at the time? You admit yourself that the babies welfare was the most important thing! Instead they waited for 3 hours before s...

Re: What theatre shows have you seen?

Disney’s Lion King is a Spectacular show, as is Mary Poppins or perhaps Wicked (if it’s still showing in the West End). If I could offer you one piece of advise in this current climate, it would be to leave the theatre trip as a surprise! It seems due to COVID/Pingdemic, that many shows are having t...

Re: Abusive nanny at playground

@coffee cake, I have to ask the obvious question. How do you know it was a Nanny/au pair? I know from years of nannying and being called the child’s/children’s mum by numerous people, that it’s not easy to work out who is a parent and who is childcarer. In fact on that subject surely it could also o...

Re: Having second thoughts on nursery

Hi, having read moonlightdawns response I felt I needed to reply. Having been a nanny for over 25years and worked in London for around 19 of those. I can tell you there are some very good nannies out there. The girls mentioned in the previous message don’t sound like nannies, but more like au pairs....

Re: Nightime wetness (2 year old boy)

Hi, the fact that it isn't happening every night makes me wonder if it's something really simple. Apologies if this sounds ridiculous, but after 26years of nannying, I've experienced most things. When you put his night time nappy on, do you make sure his willy is pointing downwards? It's amazing how...

Re: Nannies in Fulham/Wandsworth Bridge Road

Hi Aisha, I prefer the term 'mature' or 'experienced' not 'Old' ;) Clapham Common isn't that far from where I will be, what age is your charge/charges? We could definitely meet up half way between the two? Or maybe at a group between the two of us, if we can find one. I am new to this area, I ...
