Re: Scam Warning!! Stuck at home with no electricity

The door-to-door sellers with cheap household products are also scammers - google "Nottingham Knockers" for details. They're looking to see if you have cash in the house, security systems, dogs, etc and selling your details onto less friendly types who come back later and rob the place.

Re: Cargo bikes

We bought ours via Stratton Cycles on East Hill in Wandsworth, ordering it from Baboe bikes in the Netherlands (Mark at Stratton did all the engineering etc) online. Love it, we use it all the time in the summer and have a canopy for it in the winter. Send me a PM if you have any questions or want t...

Advice please! Dismissing our nanny in difficult circumstances - how do I even go about this?!

Hi All, any help with this would be really appreciated - we're finding the whole situation very distressing but trying to keep things civil and straightforward. We've had our nanny since our toddler was very small (months old) so not quite 2 years of service. She's been treated as a member of the fa...

Re: Cargo bikes

Cargo bikes are great - I have a two-wheeled Baboe (Dutch brand focusing on kid-carriers) and we love it. Re: What to cook over the Christmas period, suggestions plea

This "Sunny Spinach Pie" is a quick, quite simple - not many ingredients - tastes great (better the next day if there is any left!) and looks amazing on the table. It freezes well on a cookie sheet with baking paper if you want to prepare a few days in advance and cook from frozen. http://...

Re: Dog walker recommendation?

Have a chat with PawPairs - http://www.pawpairs.co.uk/ - Nick is fantastic, he looks after our dog when we are away and we get regular photos via Whatapp of him taking advantage of every situation (our dog, not Nick). From what I can see he took over their bed at one point!! Excellent care when our ...

Re: Happy ending after recurrent miscarriages?

Be kind to yourself as its a bit of a roller coaster experience. Also don't google - its the short road to nightmares. I have had 6 miscarriages from early to 15 weeks - all a bit different to each other and none any fun. Keep at it, its tough but worth it. I am currently waiting for my 1 year old t...

Re: Postnatal midwife care

Annabel Bryant is a lovely independent midwife and does post-natal packages as well. Very recommended, she was full of practical advice even several months after my son was born for both me and my husband. You can chat with her via facebook without being a client of hers if you want to "virtual...
