Re: Do you have noisy neighbours?

We're semi detached, but have lovely neighbours. It makes such a difference living with nice people. Our neighbours have the occasionally party. It's not that often, we cope. We have kids running through the sprinkler and being kids. They cope. We all get along. It's a good commuter belt location. S...

Re: Recommendations for swimming classes for babies

We've been taking our kids swimming here https://www.londonbabyswim.co.uk

You can start lessons from 6 months (even earlier) and I'd recommend starting as early as possible so they learn to swim before the realise water can be scary.

Highly recommended.

Re: Sleep consultant wanted for 16 month old

We used http://calmandbright.co.uk Pre sleep training, I didn't think it would work. I thought it would be negative for the kids. I thought it would be a waste of money. Pre sleep training it was taking 45-90mins to put my boy to sleep. Waking up in the middle of the night almost every night, and th...

Re: I'm weight loss resistant! Can anyone recommend a professional to help!?!?!

I lost 3 stone last year using the 5:2 diet. As some background I weighted 84ish KG at my peak, about 82 when I started the diet in May and by Christmas I was down to to 62. I didn't believe it would work, or be easy. I was wrong on both counts. Below is an extract I sent a friend who had asked me a...

Re: Nightime wetness (2 year old boy)

Thanks for the feedback everyone. After 9 months of trying to get him to sleep through the night and just having got that sorted, we're quite resistant to anything that wakes up up in the night. Experience so far would imply thats not "5 mins and back to sleep" but "hours". @Lind...

Nightime wetness (2 year old boy)

Hi, I wonder if anyone else has had issues with their child being wet in the mornings. About half the time when I pick my boy (2years old) up in the mornings from his cot his sleep suit and gro-bag are damp with urine. I suspect it's because he's a boy and he sleeps on tummy (often with his bum in t...

Re: Question about a nanny who wants to work 2nd job part ti

Hi all, Thanks everyone for your comments. In reply to a few questions * The National Minimum Wage does not apply to nannies living as part of the family household and do not have separate accommodation. * We’re not trying to stop her doing anything. We’re not trying to exercise a right to tell he w...

Question about a nanny who wants to work 2nd job part time

Hi, I was wondering if I could get peoples thoughts on something. My wife and I have differing views on this so would be interesting to see what other people think? We have a live in nanny who works 3 days a week with us. She's been with us about a month. She said last night she wasn't to go down to...

German speaking live in Nanny needed for little boy (6 Month

We are looking for an experienced live-in German-speaking nanny to stay with us from July 2015 for a period of at least 12 months. We will also consider live-out nannies but live-in is our preference. Our son is currently 5 months old, and we will be needing an experienced nanny when mum returns to ...
