Thanks everyone for your replies and I agree - what a shame. In the end we went to Balfe's bikes Streatham as they sell Frog bikes (https://balfesbikes.co.uk/our-stores/streatham/). Really good service (thank you!). Just a shame no longer a bike shop on our doorstep.

Does anyone know what has happened to independent mind body soul on Balham High Road? I have been a customer there for many years but haven't been able to get through on the phone this year.
