Re: Invisalighn or fixed braces, advice please.

Both husband and teenage son has had them very successfully.  50+ year old Husband had his crooked teeth fixed at a private dentist in Earlsfield and son had an overbite corrected at a private orthodontist as the dentist didn't do kids. Neither of them had any complaints and had no problems keeping ...

Re: 2nd property sch fees

Thanks for the expert advice. We are looking at something similar but longer term for our children - assuming that they wish to stay in London when they are adults, and assuming its going to be even more hidious for them to get onto the ladder in the future, we were thinking of buying a property for...

Re: Orthodontic retainers

Interested to hear the outcome, my eldest is due to get braces soon.  Can i assume you are using plastic retainers, like a clear thing. We were offered a choice of plastic retainers for night time use and permanent ones that are like a little mini bracewire on the inside of the teeth that were suppo...

Re: Virtual Baking Party

Pip's Little Kitchen did an amazing job for our party.  She does cooking AND craft making.  If there is a particular thing your daughter likes, say Harry Potter, unicorns (I have no idea what 10 year old girls like - I have boys!)  she can also theme the food and craft around that.  We had a cookin...

Re: Catholic schools in Tooting

Hi there, I'm sorry no one has replied to this post.   I have 2 sons at St Boniface so can only speak for them, but i imagine St Anselms will be similar, but more stricter and you'll need to live closer. Check out the admissions policy: https://www.stboniface.wandsworth.sch.uk/Admissions/Admissions-...

Re: Childrens Guitar Lesson

My youngest started ukulele aged 5 as he found the guitar too large, but he loves it!  His tutor is very patient with him and has a great manner with kids.
My eldest is learning electric guitar with him and has his lessons tailored for him.
Our tutor Tom is based in the Tooting area also: 07913 901928

Re: child to walk to school on their own?

If you are worried about them getting the phones out at the destination, we have found a great App called Life360 that allows you to set a home and school/other place, then the app uses GPS to send a notification when the child has arrived at the other end.  Hence child does not even need to get the...

Re: HELP Going Insane - 3 nappies a night?!?!?

I had the same problem with my first son and tried every nappy on the market, even tried putting a slim sanitary pad in nappy as one post elsewhere suggested. But my saviour was Lidl. I used pampers during the day, but the Lidl pull up pants at night time and they work a treat! Never once had a leak...

Re: Bugaboo Donkey - the good, the bad, and the ugly?

Would you consider an in-line double buggy such as the iCandy Pear?
I also found the http://www.buggypod.com/ a great option for tired older siblings.

Re: How much disruption when doing loft?

We are having ours done at the very moment in time! I was very impressed when we came back from a day out on Saturday when the builders had put down this clear sticky film onto the carpets in the hall way and stairs to protect them. And they had put some kind of plastic sheeting on the ceiling to ca...
