Just a note as this is a much read thread and my daughter’s school is holding early bird open mornings tomorrow and 3rd July - on the edge of Balham and a school many people haven’t yet discovered so thought i’d share the info www.laretraite.lambeth.sch.uk It IS a catholic school but not exclusively...

Just to add to the recommendations - as Kim says above you may need to try a few to see which works best for YOU but I can recommend Madelon - a few months ago i was also after coping strategies to help defuse situations at home (stress and arguments) and these certainly have helped improve the situ...

Am skimreading all these posts as it is definitely the ongoing source of stress in our marriage - the Guardian article/letter made me cry slightly especially as clearly they are NOT communicating... we are constantly trying different ways to juggle and as my kids are now older I am getting better at...
