Has Stepping Stones Suddenly Closed?

Does anyone know if Stepping Stones Nursery has closed- quite suddenly? I heard a rumour.. It's the one that's in Ravenstone grounds but not actually attached to the school. My son went there and afterwards I heard it had a few problems which was probably the case when he was there, but I wasn't awa...

Re: Have you been recently: Pizza Express kids party??

Thank you!! Called Rosso and Frankie & Benny's, neither of them could confirm whether they could or couldn't do parties, but Rosso is getting back to me later. It might work quite well as we're thinking of doing some jumping first at Flipout. Can't believe I'm organising a party 3 days before th...

Re: Have you been recently: Pizza Express kids party??

Thank you for the speedy response! They don't do Sunday afternoons in balham or wandsworth, and Clapham junction is just that bit too far fir timings to work. Need to get my act together and sort something asap!!

Re: Recommendations for a knowledgeable personal trainer?

Reporting back to local mums: Chris the personal trainer ('PT' apparently is what you call them if you're in the know) is AMAZING. I had a free trial on Tooting Bec thanks to Nappyvalleynet and now I've signed up for a ten session program and I have to say I'm loving it like I never loved the gym. C...

Going nuts: need a piano/singing/ukulele teacher!!

I've been given the run around since February trying to arrange some music lessons for my 5 year old. Can anyone recommend a local entertainer-type teacher to nurture the enthusiasm my child has for music?! Preferably singing, piano and/or ukulele, guitar, recorder - pretty much any instrument hones...

Re: Has anyone recovered from ME?

Poor you - such a misunderstood illness and so hard to deal with. Two of my best friends have had ME -one has recovered from it and the other manages the symptoms really well (mainly with diet and serious planned rest) and still lives an active, relatively normal life. I'd be so happy to put you in ...

Re: Holiday suggestions for mum and 2 year old

Hello! I am a single mum and I appreciate your concerns! I have to say I've always found camping to be awesome. There are always kids around to play with and everyone is always friendly. However if you want something a bit smarter.. I used to work for Mark Warner and I'd say most families will be yo...

Re: My friend's mum died yesterday, what can I do for his kids?

Hi gabster, Sorry for the confusion, it's my adult friend who has lost his mother (ie the grandmother). Thank you for your advice on the cook in Brighton, I will look into it. I am going down on Thursday for the funeral so I shall have a chat with his other friends and make a plan. Thank you! Dear K...

Re: My friend's mum died yesterday, what can I do for his kids?

Tooposhtopush that's so brilliantly helpful, thank you. It's a really good idea, searching out good books to try and help the kids. I could perhaps ask if I can order the books for the kids too, to save him the trouble if he likes the idea. And sending vouchers for meals, or even a picnic hamper, is...

My friend's mum died yesterday, what can I do for his kids?

My very good friend's mum lost a short battle with cancer yesterday. I am going to send flowers and a letter but what can I do for his daughters (4 and 6), one of whom is my godchild? They live in Brighton so I can't just pop in, nor would I do so at this family time, but I wanted to try and support...

Re: Scraped the side of the car: where to get it fixed?

I just called Tony from Chips Away and it went to a foreign ring tone, and his message said he'd be away until 6th September.
GOOD FOR HIM! Love it when business owners have a healthy work-life balance! I hope Tony is bronzing himself nicely on a Spanish beach.
