Re: Did you receive a present for giving birth?

I was given a ring in my daughter’s birthstone for my first and a painting for my second. We see them as ways of celebrating their birth and actually gifts for them that they’ll receive when they turn 18. I’m just “safeguarding” them in the meantime! 😂

Re: If my baby is born in Kingston Hospital what will be the place of birth?' London' or 'Kingston Upon Thames'?

Both my children born in St George’s in last 3 years have London on their passport. Wasn’t a conscious decision to put London so I had to go back and check!

Looking for French native for conversation practice (may suit au pair)

We are moving to Paris in the new year for my husband's job and although I have a good level of French, it's quite rusty! I wondered if there were any native speakers locally (maybe suit a French au pair who wants a bit of pocket money) to meet up weekly so I can practice? May also be some weekend b...

Re: Newly pregnant and moving houses. Best areas for families with a infant?

Congratulations! When are you due? We have lived in Earlsfield for the past 6 years and expecting our second child in October. I don’t think you can go far wrong in any of the “nappy valley” SW areas as there are so many families here! But I would certainly vouch for Earlsfield - Garratt Lane has a ...

Working post-baby

I wanted to add a conversation thread to see what mothers did after having a baby and progressing a career. My husband and I are going to start trying for our first baby next year. I had always thought I wanted to be a full-time mum while my kids grow up, but recently my career has done so well, I c...

Hi everyone

Re: Healthy cooking lessons - at home?

On the theme of recipe boxes (which I also encourage anyone for easy recipes when you haven't much experience) - definitely have a look at Mindful Chef - https://www.mindfulchef.com. Really good nutritious meals and health-conscious, may well be perfect for allergies and your own needs. I've been ha...
