Re: Clapham prep - Diversity

Hi- this is a concern I had regarding some local private schools as someone of Indian origin- that they did not reflect much of London’s diversity, which I see as a huge strength and something I wanted my son to be exposed to growing up. Of the local schools, I only found Eaton House and Newton Prep...

Re: Thomas's Clapham, Belleville or Honeywell?

Hi- our son goes to Belleville and we are pretty happy with it. He has really thrived there with excellent teachers right through. The academic level and approach is very good- what is missing is mostly the extras- not enough art or sport. So we supplement those after school. My son is academically ...

Re: Looking for feedback on Honeywell and Belleville School

Hi- same as the post above, my son has been at Belleville for 3y and very happy with it. Pluses have been amazing teachers and high standard of academics, also lovely community of parents and very diverse. Downside is not enough art and sport but that may be true of most state schools, not sure abou...

Re: Rude manager at Nail Dress on Northcote

Sorry that you had a bad experience- it certainly should’nt have happened. However I would say that I have only had really positive experiences there- the manager has always been kind and accommodating and the quality to price ratio is up there for the area. Totally surprised by this post I have to ...

Re: 2020 Views: Honeywell & Belleville Primary schools

Hello- my son is at reception at Belleville and we are very happy with it. He absolutely loves going there and they have done an excellent job managing through the logistics of the pandemic. The teachers seem to be good however we have less contact with them in the current environment. That said we ...

Re: Chelsea Westminster or Kingston Maternity hospitals (NHS)?

Hi- I used the C&W and would definitely recommend them. The regular check ups took place on time- although I can’t remember them being particular remarkable in any way. We also supplemented that with private check ups a few times but I don’t think that is necessary. My son was born with an infec...

Re: Parents of Boys at Eaton House - Advice?

Hi parrat- was it hard to find a spot at a private school at Y3 following a few years at state? Does it make sense to take this route vs starting at an independent school right from reception? We have a similar situation with another independent school so we would love your advice! Thank you in adva...

Re: École de Wix vs Belleville Webb's

Hi! My son got a place at Ecole de Wix (french section) last year and does speak french but we decided a curriculum which included more extra curricular activities closer to the British system would suit him better. In addition- they only have 2-3h English per week in the french section if I remembe...

Re: Kibou Japanese Hot Kitchen & Bar launches Click & Collect

Hi- I have tried ordering twice from your site- both times before 12. Each time when I check out- it asks me to choose another time slot but none of the alternatives work. So I have given up. Does your ordering system work and is there an alternative? Thank you

Re: Ecole du parc

Can’t recommend it more highly! My son is at the Stormont road one- and loves going there every day. Very nurturing, and lovely supportive staff. I wish they had a primary school as well!

Re: Anybody?! consultant recommendations: Lansdell

I was on the private wing for post natal care (booked a room there) and it was really good. The midwife very quickly realised my son had an infection, and because the excellent NHS neonatal centre is next door, he was restored to health after a few days there. I would highly recommend it.

Broomwood Hall or Eaton House the Manor?

Dear all, I would love some thoughts on the relative advantages of the two (I have a little boy), focusing on the academics, diversity of the parent base including which might have a higher proportion of working mums, and the holistic aspect of the education. Tips if any on the transition to Northco...
