Re: Thurleigh Road Surgery

Thurleigh Road Practice have now said they will not accept emails, and you cannot either book an appointment by phone or online (as previously even though often there were only slots 6 weeks in advance, or sometimes none at all). Instead you have to fill in a very short and inadequate 'triage' form ...

Re: coffee morning mothers having a go at my son and me without realising I was in the room

I think it would be very useful to communicate the issues to the other parents. I remember some parents in our school Whatsapp dropping this into a communication in a very normal way as part of a discussion... Something like 'Xxx has additional needs so we found xxx experience more challenging.' It ...

Online nurture groups for children

I'd like to recommend these small online nurture groups run by a local mum who has expertise in supporting emotional health & wellbeing. They provide a relaxed space for primary age children to practise mindfulness, talk, listen and play with others their age - which is very needed at this time!...

The group (which I joined) is still going strong, and quite a few of us have children going to the Arabic Club For Kids, which now have classes in South London on the weekend. I have just posted about the club here. Both the group and club very recommended! https://...

Arabic language classes (and play) for kids!

Would you like your child to learn Arabic? I would like to recommend the Arabic Club for Kids, running at Lark Hall Primary School (Clapham North) on Sunday mornings. Classes for different ages all have a focus on fun and play-based learning (and it's really fun - our daughter loves going!), with pr...

Ravenstone vs Rutherford House primaries

It's getting closer to the deadline for listing choices and we are a bit stuck (in a positive way!) between what seem to be two good schools: Ravenstone and Rutherford House. Having visited each school already, I wonder if anyone here might be able to offer some insight on choosing between the two. ...

Re: Ravenstone Primary

Just wondering how the new wrap around care is turning out, and how suitable it is for reception/year 1?
