Re: Balham or Earlsfield? Pros/cons...

Depends on the area, but remember Earlsfield goes all the way up to Wandsworth Common, and has houses like these (which are hardly flats, or cheap) :- http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-48176669.html?backListLink=%2Fproperty-for-sale%2Fmap.html%3FlocationIdentifier%3DSTATION%255E3...

Re: Balham or Earlsfield? Pros/cons...

They have a different 'feel' I think? Earlsfield doesn't feel quite so 'street' as Balham - possibly because it's not on a tube line, and because the main road isn't quite as big and busy. However, it does still have everything you might need (including cafes, restaurants and pubs - I don't think Be...

Re: single vaccine doses MMR - private in Wandsworth

This is an interesting youtube video which gives some stats on measles and why it's coming back. Might be worth a watch?

Re: single vaccine doses MMR - private in Wandsworth

Hi! I've got two on the spectrum, and I'm totally convinced there's no link between autism and the MMR (and actually you'll find most parents with autistic kids will say the same - I know quite a few!). Try the Mumsnet SN children boards, this question comes up regularly and they are extremely knowl...

Re: Regular evening babysitting

Hi! Why don't you try advertising on Gumtree if you can't find someone on here? There may be a nursery worker or nanny who needs a bit of extra cash who might be into working in the evenings? That's where we got our after school nanny.

Re: Mice Issue

Get a cat! Environmentally sound, child safe (in fact the children love 'em) and a great mouse deterrent. We've always had a cat and never had any mouse problems :D

Re: Vegetarian for roast

PS I did them with pine nuts on top and the tops off once and that was quite good too.
Also - the density of feta and coriander should be fairly high or it just tastes like slightly flavoured rice.

Re: Home schooling

Have you tried Education Otherwise? I think they have lists of other homeschoolers in the area. I know someone who homeschools, I'll ask her next time I see her.
