Re: profesional carpet cleaners

I appreciate Chris was inundated on return to business but we have spoken about school holidays in the past and Parliament work cannot take up all the slack days etc. When schools go back, there will be another rush and I can't emphasise enough, how family and pet friendly, Straker.Cleaning are ! Th...

Re: profesional carpet cleaners

Tried a few since moving to the area but found Chris Straker now and have no need to look elsewhere. He has done carpets, upholstery and taken away our good rugs plus we get him to do carpeting in our offices.
Website is www.straker.cleaning

Home refresh !!

Hope this is allowed, as the forum already has a 'favourite' carpet cleaner but this Lady Wimbledon blog is worth reading, as we are within the reaches ........ https://ladywimbledon.com/2020/06/home-refresh-the-eco-friendly-cleaning-service/?fbclid=IwAR1IddJMCuO5oMKAYAJIau7jTxnGrG__ukzr3w1r_UJDOoTe...

Re: are carpets a no go with children?

For SouthLondonDaddy, airborne allergies are trapped within carpet but can become airborne again, on hard floors with any draft from open windows/doors. Carpets were first used in UK, for trapping & filtering, of fumes from gas lamps. Like a washing machine, regular cleaning of the filter, stops...

Re: are carpets a no go with children?

My two have allergies so hard floors make them worse plus they need constant sweeping & mopping etc. We have a large rug in kitchen/diner but carpeting elsewhere. As long as you have someone that can always get spills out, then you will be fine and our guy uses eco friendly stuff for allergies b...

24/7 Lockdown

Not sure if this is allowed, as the forum already has a 'favourite' carpet & upholstery cleaner but just been in touch with my chosen one and he has a growing waiting list !! Seems that full time whole family use, must be starting to affect the soft furnishings now. Have added myself to the list...

Re: Can anyone recommend a carpet cleaner

May be too late for Christmas now, as best may well be booked up! Since moving to the area, we have tried one of two but now swear by www.strakercleaning.com as Chris has years of experience, six green awards and works at Parliament.

Re: Various recommendations: tiles, carpet, and gutter cleaning

If by Victorian tiles, you mean floor or pathway ........ I would suggest http://www.floor-cleaning-surrey.co.uk/ They can repair and replace tiles plus get completely back to new condition. Also have a very specialist carpet cleaners details, used a few times since moving into area but not allowed ...

Re: Post build house & carpet clean

No problem but the carpet and upholstery cleans that he has done for us, were deeper than we had previously. Got out stains that others left, detergents also rinsed away plus carpets no longer felt 'crispy'. If you want really deep steam clean, then truckmounted machine is good, if heat won't damage...

Re: Sofa cleaning recommendations

I use an environmentally friendly cleaning company, as my children have allergies and he has numerous green business awards. Very highly recommended and happy to give you his details, by message.

Re: Post build house & carpet clean

I'd happily recommend someone but he does not do builders cleans, he only specialises in carpets. May not be suitable if they only need a light 'go over' or they're not expensive, as he uses green cleaning methods etc.

Please message, if you want details.
