Partner Dance Classes

Hi,

Does anyone know of any dance classes for me and husband to go to? Any night but Tuesday, ideally near Northcote Road but further is ok. Doesn’t matter if it’s tango, salsa or ballroom etc. We are just looking for a class we can do together.

Thanks!!

Re: New Headteacher at The Roche School

For new parents wondering what this means, my view as a current and long term parent is it’s positive news. We will all miss Vania, who is a very special and brilliant Head. Jonny has been an extremely efficient and dedicated deputy. He is perhaps a quieter character than some other Heads you might ...

Meal Delivery for School Age Kids

Is there anyone in our area that delivers prepared meals for school aged kids? I’ve seen lots of babies and toddlers but mine have big appetites. I just want to get a few meals in each week (chilled or frozen) to cover when no one has time to cook. Ideally, somewhere that has lots of dairy free opti...

Education Consultant Needed?

Hi, I’m trying to help out a friend who is moving to London. She currently lives in Denmark. She is English but has raised her kids in Denmark with her Danish husband. They are now moving to London (Clapham). She’s never lived in London and has got a lot of questions about schools that I don’t reall...

Re: Down to earth private primaries

I don’t recognise the picture of The Roche painted by Anne123. Every child is different and every experience is different so I completely accept that we have just had different experiences. One of my children is really flying in maths. Does not get it from me! The school have been great about challe...

Re: Down to earth private primaries

I would second taking a look at The Roche. We went to see a lot of schools throughout the area when I was pregnant with my two. We loved the Roche. Now nearly 8 years down, it hasn’t disappointed. Kids really happy and settled there. They are doing really well academically. It has a lovely community...

Re: Clapham to have a new school - London Park School in September 2023

What age is the school for? Given the reference to Northwood Senior pupils and the staff mentioned, I assume secondary. But is it 11 or 13 entry? Is it co-ed or single sex?

Re: Thomas' Parents please don't park on street corners

I know other local schools have school staff in the vicinity to try to prevent this and increase the safety of children travelling to school by foot. Maybe Thomas’ will see this and do the same?

Re: Nursery - Between the commons

I’d second Broomwood Montessori. It’s family run by a wonderful mum and daughter team. It has lovely facilities and it’s small so easy to get to know everyone. Really friendly group of parents too, which is great if you are new to the area.

Beavers/Cubs/Scouts

Does anyone have their kids at local Beavers (Scouts) group? Is there one you’d recommend near Northcote Road? What sort of things do they do?

Loved scouts when I was a kid. Wondering if my 6 yo twins would like it.

Re: Deciding between C&W or Kingston Maternity for second baby, first time was extremely traumatic.

Would you ever consider using a doula? I say this because I had a negative first experience at C&W. I debated what to do about my second. I went to C&W but had Kayla Mead as my doula. She works for C&W as a doula as well as being private. so she knows the hospital and staff very well. Sh...

PT for couples (different abilities)

Can anyone recommend a PT who might work well for me and my husband? We are definitely not in the same place fitnesswise at the moment and struggle to workout together without someone providing inspiration (and some motivation) as he can run rings around me. Ideally looking for someone who understan...
