Nothing fancy - a room probably 10 x 8 (feet) insulated and with electricity and a heat source. If yes to any of the above would be interested to know the sort of budgets p...

Fake grass

Well… I didn’t think the day would ever come but the constant mud from dogs and kids running around in the garden, there aren’t enough hours in my day to clean the kitchen floor as often as I have to. I’ve always been sniffy about fake grass but think I might be prepared to eat humble pie. So - reco...

Re: Awful SIL making me dread extended family Christmas

I sort of agree with muddy boots and sort of don’t. It feels too absolute too suggest a Nil Desperandun, don’t let them bother you approach. Re: can you break amber country holiday quarantine to take another overseas trip?

I’m pretty sure you are allowed to travel to another country whilst in the quarantine period. As long as the country you’re going to allows it. Also day 5 testing. You are allowed to leave the house to go to a clinic to have a test for same day results. We went to Greece recently and went for a test...

Re: best non aggressive way to confront a shouty neighbour

I have a similar situation with a neighbour 2 doors away - and like the others who have replied completely disagree with MuddyBoots. However on a pessimistic note I can let you know about my experience in trying to help these particular children, which has proved rather fruitless. I first spoke to N...

Re: husband won't not drink at home to help me give up alcohol

Well yes and no. I see your point, in wanting support from your husband, but ultimately giving up alcohol is something that you can only do for yourself. That said, if you can get support from like minded people then that will help enormously, but that doesn’t have to be your husband. Of course he c...
