Re: Has anyone succeeded in lobbying Wandsworth council to slow down traffic on their road?

There’s a community drop in this weekend - a few people from my street (Marjorie Grove) are going to raise this exact point. I grew up here and I don’t remember it being like this - I now have an almost 3 old and I’m nervous about his safety. We’re hoping to go too but the more people that raise it ...

Re: Wandsworth food compost system - no liner bags provided - ridiculous

The Wandsworth website suggests that they don’t provide more liners afterwards, same as most other (labour or non labour) councils who recycle food waste. I don’t think you have to use a liner, it just suggests that it can make it less messy and smelly. Just to add something positive about the servi...

Re: Neighbour's dachshund barking aggressively many times a day

@daisydaisy - seconded! I was reading that post wondering if it was about my two sausage dogs 😂 Definitely chat to your neighbour and see if there’s any training they can do to try and reduce it - we’ve done a lot of training with ours and, although they’re now better, on some days they’re fine and ...

Re: Where to get a good sofa bed?

We have an Emma sofa bed and it’s so comfortable! Bit fiddly to assemble when it first arrives as the instructions are dreadful, but once it’s done it’s really easy to convert - we’re so pleased we got it.

Re: German speaking activities/meetup

Hi - restarting this thread also! My son is a year old and I’m trying to bring him up as bilingual English German (same as me) so I’d welcome info on German playgroups or meet ups to keep up the momentum. Similar to the original poster, not sure where to start other than approaching fellow Germans a...

Re: Health club for all the family

Hi all - just refreshing this thread as I was asking myself exactly the same thing! Purple dragon is near-ish but v expensive, and the closest thing to what might otherwise be suitable is Nuffield in Wandsworth. I was wondering if there’s anything new that’s popped up since the last post ideally wit...
