Re: Stressed out mum needs reflexology!

I had some reflexology sessions when I was heavily pregnant, tired and getting a bit anxious about the birth. I'd never experienced reflexology before but ended up having a couple of sessions and it really helped me! I was recommended a reflexologist, Jill, by a friend and she can either come round ...

Re: Best Maternity Jeans?

I bought one pair from 7 for all mankind (in Pretty Pregnant on Northcote Road) and lived in them for the whole of my pregnancy (and a few months afterwards :) ). Lots of people asked me how I managed to stay in my pre-pregnancy jeans as they don't look very maternity-like apparently! Happy shopping...

Re: First night out after baby!!

I second - or is that third?! - Lola Rojo!

Damn, now I wish that I had a babysitter so that I could go too (but not with you, don't worry  ).

Re: door to door dish cloth salespeople

I second what marchmum said!

In our case I was the one who was gullible enough to buy their stuff then my husband (who's pretty sceptical) looked up their charity as there's a charity number on the stickers and came to the same findings as the previous post.

Re: parking at Clapham Junction station

Hi Amanda, How are you doing?? You must be due soon. Re. parking, there's also a couple of pay & display spaces just outside the station, Sainsbury's end, in the side street off St John's Hill (between a pub and Fitness First). That's usually where I park when I'm meeting someone off the train. ...

Re: Re-usable Nappy Service in Wandsworth

Thanks for all the lovely advice, it reinforces my wanting to go down the re-usable nappy route! I'll have a look at the websites you suggested and see about trialling the different brands of nappies and see how I go. In the meantime, I'm going to try contacting the council again. Surely if we all g...

Re: Re-usable Nappy Service in Wandsworth

Thanks Shannon,

We were also thinking of the bamboo option so all this information really helps. I think I'll do as you suggested and use disposables for the first few weeks then start using the service.

Re: Re-usable Nappy Service in Wandsworth

Hi Shannon, Congratulations on your baby! How's it all going? You must be pretty busy right now so thanks for taking the time to feedback on the nappy laundry service! That's really disappointing to hear about the lack of comms from the company especially, as you said, when you take into account the...

Re: Re-usable Nappy Service in Wandsworth

Great news Shannon! I spoke to Real Nappies earlier and they recommended Number 1 (after I said I couldn't get in touch with Hippy Happy). Number 1 emailed me back to say that they service our area and that the nappies they use are the prefold bambino mio ones. I know you've already gone for Hippy H...

Re: Re-usable Nappy Service in Wandsworth

Hiya, Thanks for the link Suzy. I'm going to contact both Real Nappies for London and Wandsworth council tomorrow to shed some light on the matter. I'm as surprise as you, Suzy, that Wandsworth aren't part of the scheme - you'd think there'd be lots of people in Nappy Valley using or wanting to use ...

Re: Re-usable Nappy Service in Wandsworth

Hi Shannon, I don't know if a petition went to the council last year but hopefully Annabel can shed some light on this for us? I'd certainly be interested in putting one together / signing one if anyone else is interested and it hasn't already been done though admit I don't really know how / where t...

Re: Looking for feedback on Jacksons estate agents

Hi there, We sold our flat through Jacksons (on Balham High Road) last year and I would not recommend them. Like Moops has said, they over-inflated the valuation, as did all the other estate agents we asked, but the reason we went with them is because they were independent and assured us we could ac...
