Re: HypnoBirthing after previous difficult birth?

Yes! I had a tough first labour, not traumatic, but I was induced due to pre eclampsia, my daughter was back to back, it was very long, very painful and I had an epidural resulting in a ventouse. When I became pregnant with my second I hoped for a very different birth experience so decided to prepar...

Re: Place to stay for 1 night en-route from London to Cornwa

I do this journey all the time and I have to agree with the previous posters than an overnight stop is way more hassle than it's worth. Exeter is only an hour from Bodmin so in my opinon you might as well keep going. I never find Fridays a hassle to drive on as long as you leave before mid afternoon...

Re: Should i have a home birth?

I had my third baby at home and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience and I'm so glad I had him there. I opted for a home birth because I had my second baby fairly quickly and I was paranoid that this one would arrive in the car en route to hospital. I'd alo had a hiccup free, natural labour ...

Re: Hairdresser for 4 year old at home

Another vote for Julie. She is fantastic. My girls were terrified of having their haircut and she was brilliant with them. Now they actually enjoy it. Good luck.

Re: door to door fish

I hate feeling under pressure from door to door salesmen. I just tell them we're a vegetarian household and they leave immediately! Works a treat.

Re: Help with posture/rounded shoulders

I have recommended Susan Lewis on here a number of times before, and promise I'm not on commission, but I really rate her as a trainer! I am 6ft 2 with three young children so my posture really suffers. My sessions with Susan have really helped me to realign and focus on my posture. She is a LOVELY ...

Re: Worrying about bonding with number 2

I felt exactly the same when I was pregnant with my second and a lovely neighbour of mine who has four grown up sons said to me one day that with each child you have "you grow another heart" and I think she was right. All of your feelings are understandable but you are giving your daughter...

Re: Are rats a problem around Northcote road area?

Thankfully I do not have a rat problem in my house, however, I have noticed an odd smell in my car over the past few days and when I went to Halfords today to have my front headlight bulb replaced the lovely man from Halfords was rather surprised to find a rat sitting in the engine of my car! He scu...

Re: Just received rejection letter from Broomwood

Hello I'm sorry to hear you did not get a place at your first choice school. I know how horribly stressful the whole school application procedure is. Just to reassure you, my daughter goes to Thomas's and one of her little friends was put on the wait list for Broomwood but had a first round offer at...

Fisher Price Aquarium Take Along Swing

This swing was a real lifesaver for me. My son literally spent hours in it! It has a few scratches on the plastic arch as I rarely left the house without it but other than that it's in perfect working order. £35. Collection Wandsworth Common. It looks like the one in this picture http://www.google.c...

Mamas and Papas Moses Basket and Stand

This is a lovely, larger than average Moses basket with the Mamas and Papas Deluxe stand. It's very sturdy unlike some Moses baskets. My larger than average boy slept in it for much longer than I had expected. The covers have a stubborn stain on them, which didn't bother me too much but you may wish...

GONE - Free Cossato Rainbow Bouncer (x2) and Ikea Baby Bath

I would like my two Cossato baby bouncers to go to good homes before I chuck them away. They are like the ones in the link but without the toy arches which I lost ages ago. I found them brilliant when I was first weaning my babies as they were far conifer than a highchair. The covers could do with a...
