I would recommend Tim Mycroft at Mycroft Heating and Plumbing.
He mended my boiler that I had been told needed replacing - no problems for a year now.

I think it is a really common problem. A really important thing is to use a pH correct wash and shampoo so it does not strip the skin of all the natural oils.
