Dog sitter/kennels

Can anyone recommend a dog sitter or kennels? We have 2 dogs that need looking after from 25th July for 2 weeks. I don't mind if they go to someone's home, or a kennel if someone can recommend one. Our usual lady isn't able to help this time. Dogs are fully vaccinated -- both are neutered. One is an...

Re: Stolen moped

Fernside Road . It is/was a red Piagio Zip. I'd had it 8 years and losing it has made my work/life balance get harder!

Stolen moped

My moped was stolen from outside my house in SW12 last week. I know I won't get it back -- but thought I'd warn other scooter and motorbike owners. The thieves cut through the chain and stole it on a Sunday night. My husband saw a youth who doesn't live in our street who might have been recc'ing it ...

Re: Private gynae/specialist to rule out breast cancer?

There is a fabulous specialist at the Park side Hospital in Wimbledom. I can't remember exactly his name but I think it was Mr Sharma at the Breast clinic. I had lumpy boobs..still do, and he saw me, and immediately booked me in for a mammogram, persuading the radiography team that they could easily...

Re: In an ideal world which school would you choose?

I'm biased, but I've been very happy with Holy Ghost in Nightingale Square. It's a Catholic School that's hard to get into in the early years because of the very tight catchment area - but my daughter is in Yr 6 and they've had new kids in the class every year from Yr 2. It's one form entry and they...

Plumber/builder

Any recommendations please for someone who can help refit the family bathroom. We want to change things round a bit and put in a walk In shower unit as well as new loo, bath and sink units. I don't think it needs an architect..just a builder/plumber who can make a few suggestions on how to use the s...

Neighbours smoke alarm

There's a house nearby whose smoke alarm has been going for hours. It's like a form of torture. No sign of any smoke. If they are away for the weekend I swear I will go mad. Any ideas???

Re: Village Books Closing Wandsworth Common

That is so sad. I always buy my books there..wouldn't dream of doing it online. Is there anything we can do you know? I will go in there at the weekend. It's been a huge part of my kids's lives...and Bellevue Road will get yet another chain.
