She is absolutely loving it and I am thrilled at the progress she is making. I can't speak highly enough of Mrs Wanat t...

Wanted: Piano teacher for adult who used to play

I'm looking for a music teacher who can help me get back in to piano playing. I used to play 20+ years ago and achieved Grade 8 but haven't played since and don't know where to start! Now I have kids I'd like to be able to play should they ever learn, and also for my own enjoyment again. I'd like so...

Child friendly accommodation in Lower Normandy?

My family are talking about a possible trip to Lower Normandy next summer - part of the reason being to do the D-Day beaches so my brother and aged Dad (whilst he's still mobile/with us) can impart their military history knowledge, esp. with regards to the role my grandfather played in designing Mul...

Re: Phil and Teds Vibe 3

I was looking at the Vibe in Peter Jones yesterday as am debating between the Vibe and the Explorer. (According to web info the Vibe is 2kg lighter than the Explorer - though neither are that light). We had a few probs steering the Vibe at first but then the assistant came and unlocked the front whe...

We're considering booking a week at Porto Sani in Greece mid-Sept when our firstborn will still be just under 2 years, and our newborn (due May) will be 4 months, so just old enough to use the creche, should we want. Builder/plaster recommedations for ceiling repair

We need to get a couple of bedroom ceilings improved (they currently have hideous wood chip paper covering a multitude of cracks and bulges). I've had one quote already from a contact, but my husband thinks its rather expensive, so I would like a couple of others for comparison. I think in both case...

Re: Phil and Teds - vibe vs explorer?

Hi there I am having the same dilemma, as also due with no.2 in May when my first will only be 19 months, so won't be reliable enough at walking or just riding on a buggy board/twoo seat on my current Bugaboo. I have done a bit of research and, as our front door/hallway are too narrow for any side b...

Recommendations for christening party venue

We're planning to get our baby christened next spring. Although it's only for immediate family and godparents, as that'll still involve 20 adults and 12 kids from crawling babies to late teens, we feel our house is too small to cope with a lunch gathering afterwards. Ideally we want somewhere with o...

Re: Good recommendations for builders for loft conversions??

Hi. Did you get any recommendations for this? If not, I'd be happy to suggest the people who did ours. They were called Premier Lofts. http://www.thepremierloftcompany.co.uk/6.html. We used them as they were recommended by friends of ours. I got 5 quotes, and they were probably the middle in terms o...
