Re: **BEWARE WHILST WAITING IN A CAR AT CLAPHAM JUNCTION STATION**

Another user here hit by these penalties !  I have appealed unsuccessfully and I am now being "threatened" by CPM with High Court Enforcement.   I have now paid as frankly I cannot afford to litigate this although I feel very strongly that their practices are not only immoral but also ille...

Re: What DO we want on Northcote Road???

Same here. as a customer of Dove for many years I feel really sad at the comments made by the owners in this thread. I have supported your business for 25 years and now wonder what you really thought of loyal customers like me behind my back! Anyway we move on and try and support other local busines...

Re: Which school to get in to St Paul / LCSG later?

Speaking from experience please do not believe there is a school that will get your child into St Pauls or LCSG. If your child is not right for these schools no prep school will be able to get them in ! Its a tough process - you don't know how your child is going to react to the exam and to be sitti...

Re: Muggings by men on scooters in SW18, SW11 and SW12

LP73 I didn't mean to take away the importance of your post and I am grateful for you for flagging it. I don't own a car and I don't drive - so the red boxes don't bother me ! I am just surprised that with things like these going on, the Met police can afford to have a van with 3 (!!) policemen and ...

Re: Thomas's Clapham, Streatham and Clapham Prep offers

Hi flowermummy. I have been at EH for many years now and have kids in all 3 schools now (Pre-Prep / Prep and Girls school) ... and have never heard of this happening before the end of Year 3 when the boys move to the Prep school. And again I think this is pretty rare. With respect to the continuous ...

Re: Thomas's Clapham, Streatham and Clapham Prep offers

I have only heard of this happening at Eaton House when the children move to the Prep school. But then this is made very clear - the Pre-Prep is non selective but entrance in the Prep School is subject to continuous assessment in Year 2 and 3 (or entrance exams for external candidates). Surely given...

Re: Before and after school childcare - what do people do?

Hi - we used an agency - Little ones London - who found us an amazing after school nanny. It wasn't cheap to go through an agency - but 3 years in we have the same nanny who is a teacher at a local nursery and who was looking for some extra hours after school. But I am not sure how this would work w...

Re: Thomas's Clapham, Streatham and Clapham Prep offers

I am sorry Dudette...I really do not wish to start having a little online fight here. But I am not sure that I feel completely comfortable about what your post above is supposedly implying ? are you saying that they use the test at S&C as a practice and that they would rarely take up the offers ...

Re: Eaton House Belgravia + Battersea/Clapham prep schools

Hi there, If you live near Battersea Park I would personally go for Eaton House the Manor in Clapham. They have so much more space than Belgravia and the common opposite which the boys and girls use a lot for matches, practice, running and for break time. They are just finishing a huge building proj...
