films suitable for an almost 2yr old girl?

Postby jo jo » Sun Dec 15, 2013 9:52 am

Mummies: we have some long trips to make over the next few weeks & thinking the ipad may come into some use - does anyone have recommendations for kiddy films suitable for an almost 2 yr old little girl that would be worth downloading?

The Gruffalo! Also The Wiggles, Timmy Time, Octonauts and try the 'Baby Einstein' series my 2 year old charges were always engrossed in that!

Another vote for Gruffalo :)

Also Gruffulo's child, Jungle Book, 101 Dalmations, Peppa Pig, Thomas the Tank Engine, Harry & the dinosaurs.

Agree with previous posts and would like to add 'Room on the Broom' to the suggestions. It's a real hit in our household (and I rather enjoy it too!)

My two yo adores jungle book and asks for it repeatedly. We also have Peppa Pig and Pocoyo on the iPad. I've tried some of the Pixar movies with him, but they're too long or dialogue intensive to keep him interested. He never takes his eyes off Jungle Book though. Maybe it's the music and dancing.
Ben and Holly's little kingdom is also a hit.

Have to a agree with Lakesmummy in particular - Room on the Broom is a cert for keeping them occupied. Good luck!

Any Mickey Mouse or Winnie the Pooh movies go down well with mine - and there are tons to choose from. Or Peppa Pig of course! The Gruffalo is cute but it can be frightening to some little ones.....

Mine finds gruffalos child a bit scary. She is 2 in jan and loves monsters inc, totoro (lovely Japanese movie) and has little but brown hare.
She has tried happy feet but not very interested in it.
