Hello, anyone out there able to help me?

Am trying to figure out the best route for my son with nurseries and then school from there (but nursery priority right now) and am so confused. Anyone out there got any advice? I can't even figure out when he should go let alone where to. At this rate he will be at home for his GSCE's with me still trying to figure out how to apply to the damn schools...

Can anyone give tips on the best state nurseries around - am based on the grid - and how to apply. Then also private ones, any recommendations, or no go's?

Does anyone know any school consultants that could advise?

Hi, it depends what type of nursery you are looking for. State nurseries attached to schools are different to private nurseries. State nurseries usually offer 15 hours a week, 3 hours a day during school term time. This is funded by the government. Close to you are Riversdale School and Wimbledon Park which both have great nurseries. Private nurseries usually offer childcare 51 weeks of the year from 7.30 until 6.30/7.00 although some offer shorter days / half days or term time only. Good local nurseries are Little Gardens oN Standen rd and Little House on Durnsford Avenue. You pay much more for this but once your child reaches 3 years you get 15 hours for 38 weeks of the year back in nursery grant from the government.
You need to apply for state nurseries along time in advance, I think this years deadline has either just passed or is very very soon so look at the Wandsworth or merton council website ASAP depending on which end of the grid you live.
