Letters & Numbers phonics help...

Postby mrs_pavlova » Wed Feb 19, 2014 10:36 am

Hi there

My son starts school this September and he's doing Letters & Numbers phonics at nursery and doing fine. But I feel a bit bad as I haven't so much as got some flashcards to help him at home!

Does anyone know of some fun apps for iPad that he might enjoy doing with me? Or any other tips for things I can be doing at home to help him on his way?

thanks x

'Hairy letters' is one that my five year old enjoys and my three year old too. Also helps with early writing skills.

If he's learnt the Jolly Phonics system, pop down to Waterstones and get the full set of books (Books 1-6 plus the one that includes a CD) Each letter has its own little rhyme and action.
