The prospect of birthing can be a little daunting but the good news is that it does not need to be so. If you take the time to learn about how the birthing body works and how the mind affects the body, the whole process can be a positive and empowering experience, no matter what turn your birthing may take.
In HypnoBirthing (the term can be a little misleading - no clucking like chickens and no being out of control - promise!) you will learn simple relaxation and breathing techniques to use during birth and, more importantly, learn the power of the mind/body connection. In a nutshell, the fear factor will be taken out of labour and birth, leaving you in a good space to birth naturally or to make informed decisions should complications arise.
If you would like to learn more, the next HypnoBirthing class (the Mongan Method) will be held at a lovely venue a few minutes walk from South Kensington tube station on the following dates:
March 2014: Monday 3rd, 10th, 17th, 23rd and 31st from 7-9.30pm.
The course is spread out over five weekly sessions to allow mums (and dads) to do their own daily relaxation practice in between. The relaxation is deepened in subsequent classes thus ensuring that the maximum benefits are gained for mum, dad and baby.
